Scalp Trades Dated 17/5/2012

1. Scalp traded the above today.

2. Sold some UOADEV at 1.47 & 1.52 respectively and buy back some at 1.51. :) Hope it will surge higher tomorrow. ;) Judging today trades, it seem 1.52 is quite solid, quite a lot of buy up at this level. Not sure it will be surging from here starting tomorrow. :)

3. Congratz hng and also Teng on your UOADEV. :) Well done comrades !! It is this type of atmosphere that keep us going on KLSE. :) Let's keep up the good work and continue burning.

4. My favourite quotes " Laughing All The Way To The Bank" and GOOD LUCK !!

What is your holding cost for Jtiasa and MMCCorp?

Current weakness in Jtiasa probably due to downturn in CPO price, affecting all planter and arise doubt over its aggressive expansion in its palm oil division through 15% private placement. Nevertheless, short term catalyst will be come from its bonus issue.

On the other hand, MMCCOrp still await listing of its subsidiary, Gas Msia, which could account one off windfall profit. In addition, impending listing of its another wholly own subsidiary, malakroff will even contribute huge lump sum profit next year.

Sorry for my vague question. I mean technical analysis. You see normally I am quite disciplined in applying stop loss., but recently I have been adopting bad habits. Hence holding substantial paper losses.
Eg when I bought Jtiasa, I had noted down to stop loss at 9.31 . This is a lesson well learnt for me.
May be buying FABER on Monday.

  21. hi alwayswin,

    Welcome !!

How long have you been in stock market ?

  22. hng,

From where you get the YTLPOWER-WB 50m transacted at 0.245 news ?
I can't get in the announcement.
Was it true ? This type of off market deal should have published in announcement else the reliability of this news maybe a question....

Selling dirt cheap, something unusual, there should be clauses of this deal...

Have been trading almost 10 years. First 8 years 'tembak saja'. . Only past 2 yrs read up a lot on technical analysts and Basic candles (Steve Nison).. This improved a lot on my trading. But I tend to sell too early, oftentimes when the trend was starting.
I had actually sold everything when market hit 1600 cos based on the charts, I felt market was toppish and due for a major correction.
Had planned to trade only counters with high probability and short trades only. But greed got the better of me, I guess.
My trading commission is 0.1%. Do you have any pointers for me.
    My weakness in trading :-
    - selling too early (dare not let profits run)
    - not buying back on pullbacks cos the entry pt is now higher
    - tend to look at too many counters

We have to wait a little while for YTL Power to disclosed current YTL corp stake in its WB. As Q1 result is due to announced by end of this month, further detail could be gather by then to see what is the impact of cost developing YTL Power latest project smartphone and 1Betsrainet capex and whether or not YTL corp declare higher dividend than YTL Power.

I do used TA to complement my stock pick, mainly to timing risk. As TA is derived from historical data, its has is limitation, but it is useful to assess resistance and support level.

I think YTL corp not selling YTL Power-WB today, if its stake indeed reduce to below 75% now, the selling pressure will really ease off. Time to rebound

I know listing company must have min 25% public spread holding. Does it involve warrant ( excluding CWs) as well?

My YTLPower-WB is still long way to go. Cost is 47-58 cts. If take consideration of gains from previuos transaction, maybe cost is 45

  35. Hooray.YTLCorp is now holding 73.84% of YTLPower-WB. Hope YTL will not sell WB at open market anymore

Who is the buyer of 55mil WB?
