    You still hold any IGBReit?

2013 maybe good to invest in Reits as equity market is more challenging

Yes, still holding CCM. According to today shareholding changes, PNB has increase its stake holding to 74.04%, less than 1% to reach threshold limit at 75%. It could be opportunity for PNB to privatize CCM if share price keep at current low level, judging from its willingness to full convert all CCM-WA at 1.36

saturday rally was not an issue but when authority request to change venue, risk is there.Don't think organiser will accept Bt Jalil as notice given too short

MK Land has huge landbank but their weakness is their marketing, and mix of products offered

Remember MK Land has project in Cyberjaya.Do you include that in Klang Valley landbank?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Teng

I've no aware of landbank in cyberjaya. Its klang Vally landbank include, Damansara Perdana, Taman Bunga Raya and Setiawangsa

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hng

I knew they develop Cyberia next to MMU about 10 years ago.Maybe it was fully developed.I google and find out

  17. Teng

If you remember 10 year ago, The Damasara Perdana landbank was injected by MK land major shareholder for 945.9m, satisfied by issuance of MK land new share 587m at issue price 1.45 and cash 94.59m. Thus, after 10year, the major shareholder still at huge paper loss

Emkay is part of MK Land or Tan Sri Mustapha personal investment?

I knew it was share issuance but forgot about price.Last 10 years MK Land share perform poorly vs their peers and KLCI.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Teng

Emkay is Mustapha personal investment which embark on JV to develop low cost housing project in Indian. But may call off due to Indian changing tax structure, which i think is better as it consider related party transaction. I will prefer if MK land keep focus on its core project in Damasara Perdana to deliver profit consistently and keep pare down borrowing which stand currently at 170m vs. cash 150m to become net cash position.

    I'm Q to buy more YTL Power-WB at 44sen

    ReplyDelete
  26. Gark

I hear market talk that YTL Power already confirm to divest off its local power plant to IMDB. The due diligent studied already completed and now await for investment bank to make official announcement sometime within these month or before CNY.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hng,

If ytlpower sell local power plant to 1MDB, what can we get as minority share holder???

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hmm if that is the news then it's very good catalyst.

I am so read that YTL will use YTLPower to buy Stansted airport (RM 5 billion). Airport fees collected YTLPower, management by MAHB and the land goes to YTL for property development...

    ReplyDelete
  29. CK if YTLPower sell then get cash loh.. but lower earning power. I doubt Dato' Yeoh will distribute capital repayment looking at how much undistributed cash YTLPower has...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Gark,

That my question, if he hold on to the cash, We minority holder get nothing.

Unless now the greatest catalyst is PRIVATIZATION.

    else we will be PIRATIZATION.

    ReplyDelete
  31. ck5354

YTL Power will likely opt to payout special dividend or capital repayment by reducing its par value from 50sen to 10sen to match with YTL and later can facilitate share swap

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sold off all PJD at 79sen, about breakeven after take into account 5sen dividend, free up margin line

    ReplyDelete
  33. those who have wct-wb, pls do not sell.

Do convert to wct-wb to wct.

    example now wct 2.40 - 1.85 = 0.55

WCT-WB now is worth 0.55 compare to market price of 0.44.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bought ultramax YTL Power-WB at 44sen

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sold another 1/4 of WCT-WB at 0.44, the gap is getting smaller , now only 8cent difference. Rest keep for conversion.

If it moves to 5 cent difference I will sell all instead of converting.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Today sold YTLPower WB at 45cents and bought back at 44.5 cents.Bought more at 44cents

I was thinking to reduce YTLPower WB but end up I hold more

    ReplyDelete
  37. Teng

No worry, once the YTL Power divest its local power plant to IMDB materialize, stock will due to re rating as its will no only get rid of political risk of no granting extension, but also can liquidates its fixed asset to liquid fund estimate to be around RM5b-RM6b

  38. Hng

Hope so.Today busy with visitors from overseas.Managed to sell YTLPower WB at 45cents( q at 45.5 not matched)in the morning. 4+pm managed to buy back 44-44.5 cents

From what i hear from investment bank, the news in regard to selling of YTL local power plant total 1212MW consist of Paka 808MW and Pasir Gudang 404MW, seem to be true, now await investment bank to official announce in bursa.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hng/Gark

Selling power plant to 1MDB is the best solution for YTLPower and government. Gas subsidy is always political issue. Also,Msia is now facing rising power demand, and make no sense for IPP to dismantle their plant after concession with government expire

Now concern is price YTLPower can get from sale of its power plant.

    ReplyDelete
  43. hng

thanks fr the Mbf update. hope sp. div announcement soon.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Teng

Selling pressure on YTL Power could be explain by technical analysis. Doji was formed on Wed at price 1.68, meaning price could break either way. But, apparently profit taking have upper hand, resulting price retrace.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Teng

Agreed, YTL power sell off its power plant to 1MDB is best solution to no only get rid of political risk, but realize value on its power plant.

Based on 1212MW, fixed assets: 990m and profit 250m, the selling price could be worth RM 5-6b.

The amount is derive from mixed formula: RM 4.6m/MW; 20x PE and 5.8x fixed power asset est RM990m.

The above parameter is based on 1MDB acquire Genting Sanyen.

Conservatively, lets assume the power plant sell at RM5b, YTL Power should be able to recognized around RM4b net gain, translate to increment of 55sen/share.

YTL Power could then opt for special dividend or capital repayment via par value reduction from 50sen to 10sen.

    ReplyDelete
  46. To build new power plant, it cost a lot more and take at least 4year to complete. It make sense to utilize existing power plant to continue generate power as YTLP have excellent record in maintenance and upgrading it power generator. According to its annual report, YTLP have replace its paka power station with newly installed latest model, the most efficient HR3 Burners in all its Gas turbines. Overall plant availability keep at optimal level with 95.15% at Paka Power Station and 99.05% at Pasir Gudang Power Station. The combined power production by both station was 102.81% of the scheduled qualities.

Therefore, despite the concessionaire is going to expire in 2 year time, its power plant still able to keep continue generating power supply. Therefore, it make sense for IMDB to acquire these power assets even have to pay full value for it as the readily available power plant will shorten time to rebuild and get rid execution risk.

    ReplyDelete
  47. According to CIMB report 1MDB paid $1.38 mil/MW for GSP and $1.00 mil/mw for TEH.

The new gas fired plant in Penang is budgeted to cost $1.03 mil/mw.

At worst case scenario, if we assume $1mil/mw, YTLPOWER stand to get RM 3.7 bil for it's power plant. Still a very good deal.

BTW saw your posting at i3. :)
