ReplyDeletewhat do u think of FACB since it is now a cash rich company,if not mistaken as much as rm1.90 p/shr.
Any comment on MBF-WA? should buy mother instead or buy warrant for higher return?
ReplyDeleteTQ
what a good starting to 2013 & all seems positive to get big ang pow. all the best. HUAT AHHH! :)
ReplyDeletecheeheng
ReplyDeleteYa! FACB will be net cash after dispose its loss making steel division. I'm await right price to enter
cheeheng
ReplyDeleteThe disposal will increase FACB net cash cash hoard to 1.86, but it still need few month time till Q2 to complete divestment and need to seek EGM approval.

ReplyDeleteI think if major shareholder, Tan Sri wanna cash dividend fast, it can always instruct management to delcare these special dividend the faster the better, afterall, the faster cash payout to shareholder pocket account is better than in deposit company account.
Will MBF perform poorly like Kulim after its dividend's announcement?
ReplyDeleteDavid
ReplyDeleteGood question. I have no answer. Guess only time will tell
David
ReplyDeleteUnlikely, MBF divestment in MBF card for 623m, only 172m or 27% of total amount is opt for special dividend to reward shareholder. The major portion of fund proceed of about 450m is used to acquire new assets, pare down borrowing and working capital. These is in contrast to kulim, in which the fund proceed from divestment in QSR and KFC, all used to payout as special dividend, benefiting Johor corp
David
ReplyDeleteHng's explanation is detailed
Jcorp has borrowing or bonds due this year. It must get cash dividend from Kulim to pay for the debts
Thanks hng and Teng.
ReplyDeleteHng,
ReplyDeletewads ur comment on MBF-wa ? will the div bring the wa up as well?
Maria
ReplyDeleteAs previously highlight here, MBF special dividend of franked 40sen dividend will NOT led to adjustment in WA exercise price as it cannot lower than its par value.
Incidentally MBF exercise is RM 1.00 same as MBF par value. Thus, the impact of special dividend on WA only benefit if it is converted to MBF in order to entitle special dividend.
Sold off all IGB at 2.41, realize nearly 5D gain to normalize portfolio margin.

ReplyDeletecongratS hng,u very keng!
I convert again WCT-WB today.
ReplyDeleteHope I can get in 9 days.
WCT, pls wait for me.
I am really not familiar with converting WA to mother. Have not even tried it personally myself.
ReplyDeleteHowever to rephrase what Hng mentioned, for WA one is not entitle for the div unless converted to mother, but the main concern here is i think most would take profit from MBF rather than wait for the dividend, am i right?
So in short, WA will also be hiked up as well, when the mother hikes. Do i get it correctly? Can anyone here answers me?
For warrants, i think probably the sons will be showing its performance / hiking first before the real spike of the mother?
Pls correct me if i am wrong, as i am still learning from my observation. However i have no knowledge in dividend play though.
