A Secret of a day trader has just been unveiled

hng said...

You can split your capital into buynhold for long term and buynsell strategy for shortterm. First of all, monitor targeted stock movement and study its 1month-12month range and volume. Develop investment plan for entry and exit price, monitor your stock movement for last few days and initiate buy few first and on share weakness. Later study the next movement. Accumulate if stock direct to further weakness to average down holding cost, provided you are confident stock will rebound as you must already done thorough research that the risk of lossing money is minimum and sell once hit or just before target selling price. Of course, there will be exceptional, if stock keep fail to rebound and further dampen by overall poor sentiment and underweight, you may need to cut loss in accord to exit plan, cut at 10-15% loss In regard to transaction cost, trading online is cheaper. Brokerage for normal online trading is 0.38%; if trade exceed 100k, brokerage cost is at 0.21% and for intraday, brokerage is at 0.15%. Due to current capital size, i always opt to trade above 100k. Take for example, today i've brought glomac at 1.24, if cann't sell today for even 1sen higher (profit RM 205), i still can make profit after T (profit RM 105). If glomac stock heading further downward, i may opt to wait bit longer for its upcoming dividend of 4.5sen, which act as buffer. There is almost impossible to anyone to predict next market direction, thus, anytime is good time of investing. What can be done is do more study and make research on stock with both bottom-up and top-down approach. Belive me, knowledge can lower risk of investing. Stock fundamental is a core (e.g. EPS, dividend yield etc) and complement by technical analysis and stimulate by current market sentiment.I regard to dividend stock, i tend to buy before dividend is declare and sell once it make annoument. I seldome keep dividend as i'm unable to redeem tax dividend back and have to free up capital to invest other similar stock

  11. Maxis IPO hard to resist. I believe many retail investor still attract by its strong brand and proven track record.

Good for longterm holding and 'feel good factor' to be part of the Maxis shareholder :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Upon listing, based on its IPO 5.20Maxis tarde at PE= 16x, most of its earning will opt to payout as dividend, at ratio 75% and payable quarterly, lack of catalyst growth, upside is limited.

But should be able to gain support from institution investor due to its big market capital and bluechip status, therefore, downside is also limited.

As you point out, trading GENM seem very unusual, last min, big seller force share to close 4sen lower!? Similarly, Genting trading also quite volatile, have to realize profit fast.

Today added new stock, Bonia, proposed 4sen dividend. Sold also some Hunzpty at 1.44-1.45

    In summary, trading today realize T+2 profit form partial hunzpty;
T+1 profit from all Genting and all glomac.

  31. Horse

So fast already venture to US stock market; Wanna to become global investor :) Your intital target entry for Citi at 3.84, is good bargain price.

My brother in law is big player, he entry price for citi used to be 1; 1.50; 2.0....up to recent high of 4.5 etc; But he also opt buysell
trading, so far he has manage to maintain each trade profit margin of at least 10%. This is compounded with derviative instrument; future+option etc. Ha! he is really risk taker, so far have no gut to follow his trading style.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bonia declare 8% = 4sen less tax; yield at 3.9%. Share up 1sen to 1.03 now. I have sell on strength on Bonia after its dividend announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Bought back Genting at 7.07

    ReplyDelete
  34. wow, your brother in law expert in US Market, whereas you are good in KLSE market...both joint force can conquered 2 markets. :)

The reason buying into C is for short trade, it has came down reasonably low after it recent high of 5+...US market is very volatile compare to KLSE, with your trading skill, i believe you can make even more than you trade in KLSE but again it is two way edge sword, win big can also lose big as well.
I hope to gain some quick money here. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wowlah, Genting regain momentum!? reserve higher selling price for better margin profit :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just sold off all Genting at 7.16, realize second round intraday profit :)

'Conquered 2 markets' !? My capital is very very small than big player. Still in the midst of accumulating...

I'm definitely far behind. Perhaps, the only edged is consistency

    ReplyDelete
  39. bought some GENM at 2.74; sold also some OIB, Bonia and Amfirst

    ReplyDelete
  40. Your entry to Citi at 3.84, should be good bargain price. It is its recent low price and probability for Citi to rebound is high. Recent citi sell down could be due to news that it may need to write down another 10b from its book and further dampen by CIT bankrup protection

    ReplyDelete
  41. hng,

still too early to tell what is the fate of C, many analyst think that C is worthless. I'm just taking a risk here to make an abrupt profit if possible. If the write down is keep happening, i think even US FED also could not help much anymore, just hope that it is too big to fail...
