First batch of Maybank I bought was in 1998 ( RM13 before many bonus and right issue).In 2009,I also bought at 5+ before right issue

I think you should advice your relative to opt for Maybank share dividend reinvestment plan, to enjoy discounted share price and accumulate share over long term.

Frankly, both OSK property and WC perform below expectation, but fundamentally, OSK property still worth of investing due to high dividend yield, while WC is still worth a hold at the moment for its long tenure of warrant life and high gearing level for exposure to underlying share at low cost.

If owning less than 2,000 shares,gains from share reinvestment plan is insignificant. Total dividend less tax is RM480. You get less than 60 Maybank shares,and if you save 45 cts per share,gains only RM27. If I remember well,you have to pay RM10 for stamp duty if you accept share over cash

Yes,OSKProp is really below expectaion after its right issue listed.
Properties still hot,though develepor now shift focus to smaller unit. Recent SOHO launched by MCT in Cyberjaya fully sold in less than 10 days. Price is not cheap,start from RM300k for 500sf unit

Apartment/SOFO are getting smaller now, to increase buyer affordability. But in actual fact, RM/sqft are increasing, if one to compared those SOFO with landed luxury semi-D, it is still worth to buy landed property.
SOFO/apartment mainly for rental income, better if come with leaseback agreement, like 5 year, 8% yield etc. But this kind of investment hard to appreciate in value long term, depending a lot of management/maintenance/tenant availability. If the service apartment cum together with hotel, is better, run by hotelier and its professional in maintenance

Nowadays fewer serive apartment has leaseback package. Normally leaseback are for servive apartment that used for hotel industry. Nowadays so called service apartment are no different from normal apartment

Developer selling point are offer partly/fully furnish furniture/air cond, kitchen cabinet etc to entice buyer and also easy payment scheme like 1% down payment, absorb interest during construction etc

Not yet. I am using nominee which is another 3-4 working days more than direct account( previuosly was 7 working days). Even dividend takes 5 working days whereas I received same day or latest next day for direct account

Most stocks you selected are supported by dividend or bonus issues. This will limit downside risk
For Property-Coming budget,not sure if government will introduce more measures to surb property price.I doubt drastic measures as this will hurt not only property developers,but banks may face high NPLs
Sold off all today and yesterday YTL at 1.79, realize intraday gain, offset partially by T+1 transaction cost loss
