Received Interim Dividend of 5sen from CARLSBERG

Just received interim dividend of 5sen from Carlsbg. This is the 6th dividends that i received from Carlsbg thus far and it never failed to give out dividend so far. Dividends have been given consistently twice a year in May and October respectively. Total dividend payout ranging from 35sen to 37.5sen per annum, this will translate to a DY of 9% to 10%....

Perhaps at this time you could consider switching Carlsberg to Guiness. Both also have highe dividend yield but with different time payout. Carlsberg tend to declare final cum special dividend on Feb, while guiness have high final dividend declare on Oct.

yes, it is 31sen this time round. Not switching them because i'm having both counter, maybe consider buying more Guinness if it dip below RM5....or i may want to wait after ex date this time before executing my buy order...anyway, no hurry in this bearish market.

Petrol price decrease 3rd time by 15 sen. I think petrol price may decrease further by end of this month. However, with series of decrease in petrol price, suprisingly gov still keep petrol rebate RM 625 unchanged. I worry gov deficit will keep worsening as CPO, crude oil continue on downtreand. A lot of project under 9 Msia plan could not executed and corridor development also may not continue in view of new PM in next year.

in fact i 've a same thought as u, rebate RM625 in fact is a wrong move by gov. they have no choice once implemented it, they got to keep thier promised till all vehicle is fully paid before they think of another silly plan again. Can;t they just raise the petrol price gradually and forget about rebate in the first place, why create all this unnecessary hassle and giving another loophole/opportunity to "their cronies" to create more fortune?...really disappointed with this kind of flip-flop management.

Our gov never strictly keep their promise. In fact, it is justifiable to reduce if not abolish petrol rebate. Perhaps our ministers need to attend assest management course to equip themselve on how to effectively make use of resourse. Take for example, one reason CPO price trade at big discount compare to corn/soya oil is our ever growing stockpile and lack of alternative use of CPO. Msia could start mandatory use of blend petrol or fuel to generate electricity. Policy change must adapt fast and active rather than passively and over dependent on crude oil.

PJDEV drop back the level you bought and lower. Maybe can start fishing again tomorrow...hahaha Got back my tanjong at RM11.80 today, maybe entry too early, should have waited till tomorrow..

Not yet, PJdeve have to drop a least 10% (40-42sen) to trigger my 3rd round of buying spree. In the meantime, play some contra as PJdev share tend to trade lower in afternoon than in morning session. tanjong just trade ex-dividend and drop quite significantly. Well, it suit your style buying share after ex-dividend which tend to trade lower than cum-dividend. Tanjung dividend yield (8%) also quite impressive, payout quarterly interim + final dividend.

u mean to say every 10% drop u will average in ? does tis apply to all shares ?
Not a bad strategy huh...if a 50sen share, u will get to buy in at 45sen, 40.5sen, 36.5sen, 33sen,...n so on. wow, got to watch out for money management then, at each level of buy in can increase the quantity as well because like that your value of purchase would be the same...

Of course, not every stock appplicable. This is just my strategy for Pj development only. Will keep buying on weakness and sell on strength but maintain sufficient share for value to emerge.
